Burglars take Mottley’s gun
Wendell MotTley’s Carenage home has been burglarised. According to reports, caretaker/handyman Simon Ramkissoon secured the Mottleys’ apartment at “The Bouys” condominiums on December 11 at around 3.30 pm and left. He returned the next morning to find the front door to the Citizens’ Alliance political leader’s house wide open, and the house ransacked. The former finance minister was at the time in New York with his wife Vicki. A check of the wall safe revealed that a .38 revolver and six rounds of ammunition were missing. The thieves also broke into his car and removed the music system. Police have confirmed they visited the home and say an arrest is imminent. Sgt Joefield is continuing the investigation.
