Arima man shot, chopped over woman
A Trainline Road, Arima man was shot and chopped for an alleged affair with the wife of a co-worker.
According to reports, at around 2.15 pm yesterday, Lloyd Leopold, 32, a supervisor of Asa Wright Nature Centre went to a co-worker’s home higher up on Trainline Road, via Pinto Road, Arima, when he got into an argument with a man over an alleged act of infidelity. The man whipped out a gun and fired a shot at Leopold which took of the tip of his ear. The man then chopped Leopold on both of his arms before running off.
On hearing the commotion residents contacted the Emergency Health Services. The bleeding man was taken to the Arima District Hospital and then transferred to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital. A warrant has since been issued for the arrest of a 32-year-old man of Ifill lane, Pinto Road, Arima. Ag Cpl Renee Katwaroo is investigating.
