Dad chopped during quarrel

Moments after quarelling with a friend of  his daughter, a man’s left arm was virtually chopped off; it barely hung onto his body. Police are now searching for two  suspects and arrests are said to be imminent. The victim, 46-year-old Cyril Dillon of 8 A Mc Sween St, Roy Joseph Scheme, was up to yesterday warded at the San Fernando General Hospital in a serious condition.

According to reports, around 10.30 am yesterday Dillon  was involved in an argument with his 19-year-old daughter at his Roy Joseph apartment. During the  heated exchange of words reports stated the woman’s  friend, armed with a cutlass, became involved. He then dealt Dillon  chops to the body and the left arm, almost severing it as the man tried to defend  himself. Dillon was rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital where he received emergency treatment. Cpl Nazrool Hosein and PC Burke of the San Fernando CID visited the scene of the incident. PC Burke is continuing investigations.
