Chopped on head during dispute

A 29-year-old man was detained by police yesterday for chopping his neighbour. According to reports, around 11.20 am, Keith Persad, 41, of St Julien Road, Princes Town, was liming on the road with another man. The men got into in a heated dispute, which led to the suspect chopping Persad on his head. The EHS ambulance rushed Persad to the San Fernando General Hospital, where he is said to be warded in a satisfactory condition at Ward Three. The 29-year-old suspect is expected to appear before a Princes Town Magistrate today charged with the offence. PC Neckchadee of the Princes Town Police Station is continuing investigations.
