Rahael talks medical scholarships

HEALTH MINISTER John Rahael will host a news conference today at 5 pm at the Health Ministry’s Head Office on Park Street, Port-of-Spain to introduce and congratulate those persons who were successful in securing scholarships to the medical programme at St George’s Medical School, Grenada. These scholarships are jointly sponsored by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and St George’s University. On Monday, Rahael said no disciplinary action would be taken against the doctor who conducted training at the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH) for medical students from Windsor University School of Medical Sciences, St Kitts. The Minister said there are only four students from the programme at SFGH and they are being allowed to complete their training which ends in February.
