Warrant issued for ex-cop

A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of an ex-policeman for attempted murder. The warrant was issued following a New Year’s Day incident when Yvonne Rodriguez, 28, was attacked by a male relative with a Chinese chopper while she was asleep at her Indian Walk, Moruga home.

Rodriguez was chopped four times about her head and spent two weeks at San Fernando General Hospital. The 52-year-old suspect has gone into hiding since the attack. According to Rodriguez’s sister Fernando Harrington said her sister had made several reports to Princes Town police about threats she had received from a male relative. Princes Town police are continuing investigations.
