No Hill too steep for Jabloteh footballers

HEAD COACH of the CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh, Ricky Hill, has praised the staff of his team after the club retained the TT Pro League title on Saturday, following a 2-1 win over W Connection at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva.

The English-born coach said: “It was an excellent effort from all our staff and players, as well as the management at Jabloteh.” Hill, who replaced fellow countryman Terry Fenwick as Jabloteh’s coach in February last year  described his stint as “a wonderful experience.” “The players worked hard and conscientously throughout the season and we’re delighted for everyone connected with the club that we’ve managed to achieve three trophies for the season,” Hill added, referring to the Pro League, FCB Cup and CFU Club Championship crowns.

“I also want to thank (Lawrence) Duprey and all at CL Financial (Limited) for their support. It is much appreciated,” he continued, stating that the CFU win over Connection last month was the highlight of his current involvement with the club. But what’s next for Jabloteh? Hill revealed, “The players will go on a rest after Sunday (when the League concludes) for three-and-a-half weeks and come back on February 18, when we’ll get straight into preparation for the match (CONCACAF Club Championships home-and-away tie) against Chicago Fire.”
