Owner, please claim your rug
THE EDITOR: On Saturday December 27, 2003, whilst travelling North along the Uriah Butler Highway, in the vicinity between Montrose and Charlieville, I observed an object being dislodged from a vehicle that was approximately eight car lengths ahead of my own vehicle.
Several vehicles ahead of me came into contact with the object and others swerved to avoid it. I pulled my vehicle aside and secured the object which was a new rug (still wrapped in plastic.) I subsequently made a report to the Malabar Police Post. This information was newscast on the radio station on December 28, 2003 and published on a local newspaper. To date, nobody has claimed ownership of the rug. I appeal to you to publish an article in the country’s leading newspaper, the Newsday since I anxiously await the owner of the item to relieve me of the responsibility as custodian. The dimension of the rug is 210 cm by 310 cm. My name is Orlando Stephen and I can be contacted at 763-8173 anytime, anyday.
