The things that the Prime Minister wants

THE EDITOR: Law abiding families have been evicted from their homes by unscrupulous landlords leaving children and their belongings on the streets. Houses have been demolished with families in occupancy with the law standing by to ensure that the deed is done without interference.

Crops have been demolished where farmers use State lands. Caroni has been closed down to give way for State development programmes. Mayor Sergeant obtained a court order from Justice Permanand to restrain the Jammat from encroaching on State lands but the then Minister of National Security, John Donaldson and Prime Minister Chambers refused to take action. Now history is repeating itself with the Manning administration refusing to enforce the law by allowing the illegal building to remain standing in spite of repeated statements during its construction that there was no planning permission to build on State lands. Is PM Manning sending a signal to all and sundry that under the PNM Trinidad has returned to a lawless society? It appears that the PM supports the criminal elements in the country and suppresses the law-abiding citizens.

Citizens must recall the TT$ 61M worth of surveillance equipment brought into the country not by the protective services but by the PM for use by his special force. PM Manning has attacked the EBC, CSO, UTC and Service Commissions. Whatever the PM does is not open to other opinions as Minister Rowley puts it “if he says that is the position, then that is the position”. PM Manning wants to strengthen his relationship with the Jammat to remain in power, PM Manning wants to hand the letter of appointment to the COP, PM Manning wants his debt to the State written off, PM Manning wants the Red House as his office, PM Manning wants to control the assets of the UTC, PM Manning wants to travel in private jets owned by companies developing our Energy Sector, PM Manning wants his meetings with community leaders not photographed, PM Manning wants to keep his supporters in the dependency syndrome in spite of their protestations.

PM Manning wants to be father of the Nation and Caricom, PM Manning wants to give the protective services hefty pay increases to ensure they do his bidding, PM Manning wants all opposing views to be regarded as non issues, PM Manning wants the public to believe that he forgoes a meeting in Mexico due to concern for the citizens, PM Manning wants the public to focus their attention on the Opposition, PM Manning wants to give past President Robinson tax relief on vehicles, PM Manning wants the population to agree to collateral damage and bogus kidnappings, PM Manning wants to be a law onto himself, PM Manning wants to be the first Director for life in TT.
Hallelujah. Will all citizens bow to the anointed one. Amen
