Minister not satisfied or comfortable with murders
Saying that he was neither “satisfied nor comfortable,” National Security Minister Martin Joseph said he was astonished and perturbed by the brutal murders of 20-year-old Annasher Rangoo and 23-year-old probation officer, Krystal Lakpatsingh. Saying that criminal intelligence was required, Joseph said: “Like you, I am uncomfortable; we are in a situation where we don’t know what is going to happen later or tomorrow. We cannot continue to operate in that way. And the resources have been brought to bear so that this (situation) would cease,” he said. He said he had not yet received the reports about both murders. He reiterated that the unfortunate thing was that the measures being put in place would take some time “to bite.”
