Arima man gets $65,000 bail
THE man charged with the larceny of over $800,000 worth of computer equipment from a San Juan business place was yesterday granted bail with a surety in the sum of $65,000 by Magistrate Gillian David at the Port-of-Spain Fifth Magistrates’ Court.
Ray Henry, 33, of Thomasos Terrace, Arima, was charged on Wednesday with stealing computer equipment from PRWD Enterprises, located at Sadho Trace, El Socorro Extension, San Juan. The offence allegedly occurred last Tuesday and the charge was laid by Acting Cpl James of the Barataria CID. Henry, a computer technician, had been denied bail pending tracing when he had appeared before Magistrate Maureen Baboolal-Gafoor on Wednesday. The results of the tracing yesterday revealed that he had no previous convictions nor any pending matters before the court. He will re-appear in court on January 30.
