Devils lurk in Carnival

THE EDITOR: As if we did not have enough problems with banditry, kidnapping, murder, Aids, racial discrimination, here comes Carnival riding on the wings of culture to further destroy its share of precious souls either by being stabbed in a fete, fight, drunken carnage on the road after a fete, some truck wheel crushing someone to death, a foreigner being raped in the Savannah.

The devil is setting up to have a feast and we are willing to play right into his hands as sheep to the slaughter. After Carnival some kids would be without a mother or father, some parents will hold their heads and bawl for their child, I am not a prophet of doom, it is just that I know that old devil; he will not pass up a juicy opportunity to do his ugly work to show his ugly face. They that sow to the flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, she that lives in pleasure is dead even while she lives, you’re unconcern until it happens to one of your loved ones. 

The relative demon Aids will make sure to take his portion of fools even though you don’t fall dead immediately. God there was a way you could spare us this curse. One precious soul is worth more to God than all the revenue that could be gained from the event. What would it profit if you gain the whole world and suffer the loss of your soul. Can a man walk on hot coals and not be burned? Can a man take fire in his bosom and his clothes not be burned? I am sorry that your precious life in the prime of life had to be cut off so prematurely; you win or lose by the way you choose.

I set before you life and death, choose life that you and your seed could live.
