Between the devil and the deep sea
THE EDITOR: I write with dismay at the continuous killing by police officers, I refer to Aneesa Neptune, Kanhai the hunter, the youth shot at Pier One. I am aghast at how terrible Trinidad and Tobago has become, that the very people who vow to protect and serve the citizens are turning on us instead. What are we to do, to whom shall we turn for help, when on one side you have the bandits, kidnappers, rapists and on the other side you have the police. We are caught between the devil and the deep blue sea, because the way the police are carrying on you are afraid to make a report because the next thing you know they shoot you and frame you.
Some of the worst, wicked, evil, vindictive, and corrupt people in this nation can be found in the police service. The government must take steps to rid the service of these evil persons, for they are not setting any good examples for the young people. Next time you happen to encounter a police officer say your prayers because it might be your last.
