Majid Khan takes hattrick in Superleague

Former Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 all-rounder Majid Khan playing for SNSR Valleyboys in the Chifeez Superleague limited overs series, grabbed a hattrick against Cosmos last week.

Khan ended with the remarkable figures of 7-4-4-5 to restrict Cosmos to just 65/7 in 20 overs at Princes Town. Valleys duly completed victory at 66/3 in only 12 overs to take two points from the encounter. At the Savannah, Old Mac Agro Exchange Cricket Club defeated PAS Wanderers by five wickets to maintain their winning ways. PAS batted first and scored 189 all out with Guyanese Troy Gonzales making 51.

Former Police player Jadoonan Peack was the pick of the bowlers with 3/29. Exchange then led by skipper Lyndsey Rondon 40 and Shaker Mano 59 got to their winning target for the loss of five wickets.
This victory was the third for Exchange who are new comers to the Superleague and who skipper Rondon said was being considered as “Red Carpet” opposition for the established Superleague clubs.
“Well we are showing them what Exchange can do and we intend to do a lot more damage in the remaining matches.” Exchange play Invaders on Saturday and Fulham on Sunday.
