Cro Cro must read Deuteronomy 24:16 and Ezekiel 18:14-20
THE EDITOR: There has already been tremendous commentary on ‘Mr’ Cro Cro’s song ‘Face Reality’. However I hope you allow me some space in your paper not for his song but for his reported views and statements in an article of January 27, 2003 in a local newspaper. He claims that he keeps all the letters etc on him and reviews them to see if he can learn something from them. I hope he reads this one. Cro Cro is quoted as naming Jesus in his defence. The reporter writes that ‘The Bible is the foundation for the morality issues in his songs’. While that sounds meritorious and even commendable, it would even be effective were he to allow the same Jesus and the Bible to form his thoughts and deeds.
If he were truly a follower of Jesus Christ he would not be advocating ‘abortion’!!! It is reported in the article as him having said “They (parents) should have a permit to have a child, just like they have to have a permit for a gun and if they violate the permit, then charge them or abort them.” It is hoped that he has been mis-quoted or he really does not understand the weight of his statement. There is still room to make things right especially on this issue of killing our unborn children. Cro Cro should retract and apologise for his statement on aborting babies who are the truly innocent. Our children unborn or otherwise are our only hope to make things right, our only second chance. We can become a new nation with the right instruction and as he himself says, with good example.
Our unborn children must not be killed for the crimes of their parents. Contrary to what he refers to in the Bible, children do not pay for the sins of their parents read Deuteronomy 24: 16 and again in Ezekiel 18: 14-20. I’ve read his interview with an open mind and see that maybe he has a message that obviously is being misunderstood but his thinking of the resolution of the problem is definitely not what Jesus would do. He should take time out and read the following passages, they should convince him that Jesus would never condemn the innocent and reveres the unborn. Jeremiah 7: 6-7, Deuteronomy 27: 25, Isaiah 1: 17, Job 31: 15, Psalm 139: 13-16, Exodus 21: 22-25, and Amos 1: 13 just to name a few. May God bless your good intentions and guide you.
