Children need guidance and respect

THE EDITOR: Please allow me a space in your newspaper to express my views on children’s bad behaviour. The reason for the violence in schools is because of adults. Adults show no respect for us students and the younger ones. The soca storm which 98.9 Yes FM hosted by O’Brien Haynes was horrible.

Children who paid their money were outside and chaos took place. Those young adults, men wearing a certain uniform, began to push from the back. All that I knew was four jeeps of riot police all in black began shooting the air at innocent children who were flogged, beaten with batons, chased and some were even arrested. Now this is the way they set an example for youths like us to obey them. They need to guide us not curse us. Many children came from abusive homes, single parent homes all that we need is guidance, love, and respect to be able to grow successfully.
