Dr Moonilal diverting us from UNC failure
THE EDITOR: I find it quite disappointing, in fact disheartening, that a man with a PhD would come up with the incredulous and outright stupid distractions that Dr Moonilal concocts on a weekly basis — all in an attempt to divert our attention from the failure of the UNC. Think about his most recent strategy — a letter to the Integrity Commission to probe the Prime Minister’s ride on a private plane. Do the people of Trinidad and Tobago really believe that the Honourable Patrick Manning would compromise himself and his country for a plane ride?
That is the kind of thing that the UNC did — go to private parties, strike up deals under the influence of alcohol, and make secret contracts for plane rides. No wonder why Dr Moonilal thinks that the Honourable Patrick Manning would go on a joy ride to strike up a special deal. Please Dr Moonilal — the UNC and the PNM operate by totally different philosophies. That’s why the UNC is out of government and the PNM is in government. Why not try another form of distraction — maybe this time you can ask Wade Mark or Gerald Yetming to make this week’s ludicrous statement in the media or in Parliament... you don’t have to look like the party fool all the time — appoint a deputy fool.
