Sport Minister congratulates swim ace
SPORT and Youth Affairs Minister Roger Boynes has dashed off a congratulatory letter to Trinidad and Tobago swim ace George Bovell III. He congratulated him on his achievements of capturing two gold and one silver medal at the recent FINA Swimming World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The minister said Bovell’s performances have been noted with optimism and extreme pride, and stated: “Your outstanding performance continues to exemplify the true potential of our young people who are willing to give the time and display the discipline and dedication that are requiered in the pursuit of worthwhile dreams.” And Minister Boynes pledged continued government support to Bovell.
“On behalf of the government and people of Trinidad and Tobago I wish to congratulate you on your recent successes at the FINA Swimming World Cup. “Your achievements of gold medals in the 100 metres individual medley and 200 metres individual medley, the latter in record time, as well as your silver medal in the 100 metres, all provide much for us to celebrate. “We wish you continued health and look forward to even greater accomplishments from you,” the letter ended.
