Alert The Ship sails fast

ALERT THE SHIP continues to flash his speed on the gallops at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, as horses prepare for the Arima Race Club “Friday Lime” programme on February 20. This American-bred bay colt out of the Kenny de Silva jr stables, scorched the main course in recording 1:00.9 seconds for a 1000 metres gallop yesterday. And the grey three-year-old Sky Skipper from the same stable along with the older Fortunate Flag, also showed off their toes in matching the time of their stablemate, relishing the track made sloppy by overnight rain. Another good run over the 1000 metres trip came from Golden Grades who was timed in 1:04.5 seconds. Trainers continued to take things easy with their horses with many seen out pacing.  Millenium Reign caught the eye , however, clocking 28.9 seconds over 400 metres.
