Ex-councillor, conservationist laid to rest

GAME wardens and foresters lined Claude Street, La Romaine, on Thursday as a mark of respect for former councillor Abdool Aziz who died on Monday.

Aziz, who was also a past president of the South Trinidad Hunters’ Association, was laid to rest following a funeral service at which representatives from the Forestry Division of the Ministry of Agriculture paid glowing tribute to him. Aziz, 70, who was made an honorary game warden by the Ministry, was described by deputy Permanent Secretary, Sherrif Fyzool, as an ardent conservationist.
