Central Bank alone at the top in All Sectors netball
CENTRAL BANK took over sole leadership of the Alternative Division Y Division in the All Sectors Netball League when they trounced Government Printery 57-38 at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sports Arena, Tacarigua. The Bank Girls were in command from the start of Thursday’s match, leading 15-11, 29-24, 45-32 at the quarter intervals. This was behind 54 goals of 64 attempts from Kathy James, two goals from three attempts by Camille Aubin and one from two by Susan Squires.
Cathy Ann Cain had 26 goals from 35 attempts, Tracy Douglas sunk four of six, Margaret Jack had five of nine and Candy Hazelwood scored three of four for Printery. TSTT whipped Defence Force 37-34 in an exciting match in which the Army-Coast Guard combination held sway for the first three periods 8-4, 18-15, 26-25 before being outscored 12-8 in the final stanza. Sarah Hutchinson had 21 goals from 32 attempts, Leslie Ferguson scored 15 of 17 attempts and Jumila Wilson had one of six for the “Hello Girls”. Karlene Sylvester netted 29 of 38 attempts and Donna Chase scored five of ten for Defence Force.
