TT U-19s face Anguillan test today

TRINIDAD and Tobago Under-19 women footballers will go into today’s second leg CONCACAF first round qualifier against Anguilla, at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya, Tunapuna, with a 5-0 cushion. The TT lasses thrashed the Leeward Islanders in their first leg match-up at  Ronald Webster Park on February 8, and coach Jamaal Shabazz yesterday said he will utilise a number of fringe plyers during the match.

“The girls are very eager to play,” he said. “We’re (the technical staff) going to give a couple of the younger players an opportunity to play as well, because we feel we are stronger opponents, but we also want to give them some international exposure.” Both teams held practice sessions at the Tunapuna venue yesterday. Today’s fixture will kick off at 3 pm.
