CIC, Belmont ex-pupils match today

The 16th annual CIC versus Belmont Boys Secondary Ex-pupils football clash takes place today at St Mary’s College ground Serpentine Road, St James at 4.15 pm. Among the prominent St Mary’s College names on show will be Alvin Henderson, Ken Butcher, Brian Ghent, Keston Nancoo, Luciano Woodley, Keith Look Loy, George Pantin, Geoffrey Wharton-Lake, Dexter Skeene and Colin Skeene. Expected to be on the Belmont team will be Ron La Forest, Brian Trujillo, Peter Nunez, John Pilgrim, Wayne Lewis, Gordon Husbands, Joseph Aqui, Winfred St Hill, Leroy Thomas, Marlon Morris and Brian Sobers.

Contributions of $40 are invited from the Belmont players and they may seek registration at the Stephen Low Variety Store, corner of Henry and Prince Streets in Port-of-Spain. Meanwhile, the third annual St Anthony’s Ex-pupils versus Belmont Ex-pupils match will kick off this Saturday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo. The match will showcase several players with whom both schools won the coveted college league titles in recent past. Among them are Colin Roberts and Anton Pierre of Belmont and Michael McComie and Kerwyn Jones of St Anthony’s who have established themselves as worthy national talents. Following last year’s exciting 4-4 all another enthralling encounter is expected. Belmont players are asked to contribute $25 and can register at Stephen Low’s Variety store.

Belmont: Kwesi Peterson (capt), Colin Roberts, David Marshall, Marvin Foncette, Keston Douglas, Sean Marshall, Akudu Goodridge, Anton Pierre, Clinton Corbin, Sherwin Jack, Gary Bonnette, Dwight Fonrose, Wayne Dial, Ismali Mc Kay, Terrence Joseph, Akil Alleyne, Marlon Smart, Keino Devenish and Randy Yearwood.
