Surprise NSL beating for Harmony Hall

SURPRISE of Gasparillo successfully chased a winning target of 308 to defeat Harmony Hall by one wicket in a thrilling game as action in the 2004 Nationwide Sports League (NSL) got underway. Harmony Hall scored a very competitive 307 with Leo Parris hitting 74. But a fine inning of 81 by M Dwarika steered Surprise to their exciting victory. Imraz Ali, the brother of  late West Indies spinner Inshan Ali, captured six wickets for 14 runs to bowl Matrix to victory over Spoilers.

Matrix of Preysal batted first and scored 214 for seven wickets with another  of Inshan’s  brothers Wazard Ali topscoring with  61, before Imraz destroyed  Spoilers, leaving them floundering on  72 for nine wickets for a comprehensive 142-run Matrix win.
