Levine reclaims TT Golf Open
ST KITTS golfer Trevor Levine, who climbed to the top of the leaderboard in the Men’s Championship Flight, captured the 97th annual Trinidad and Tobago Open Golf title at the St Andrew’s Golf Course, Moka, Maraval yesterday. All the golfers struggled on the course on yesterday’s final round, with the Kittitian Levine carding a six-over-par 78 for an overall tally of 295.
Local player Robert Llanos had his best ever tournament, shooting a five-over-par 77 to take the runner-up spot on 300 while the TT threesome of Shane Costelloe (75), Corey Hamel-Smith (76) and Carlos ‘Sexy’ Baynes (77) shared third place with a four-day total of 301.
Sharing sixth position were top junior Simon Merry and Trinidad-born Barbadian Scott Stollmeyer with 303 while Dion Gonsalves was eighth with 304 and Douglas Ammon ninth with 307.
