Fuji Bikes help young riders

Fuji Bikes International have come forward to lend assistance to develop junior cycling in Trinidad by sponsoring four bikes to the Phillips Promotions Junior programme. The proud recipients of the bikes were Couva’s Jonathan Rawlins of Waterloo High School; and San Fernando resident Marc Codrington of Pleasantville Senior Comprehensive. Mark Smith and Keri Pitman made the decision to be involved in the project after viewing the promotional CD produced by Phillips Promotions.

This is the first time that an international company has made such a gesture to develop the sport locally. The happy cyclists received their bikes at their respective schools and were cheered by the student body. The cyclists are gearing up to compete in the up coming Beacon Series. The agent for the Fuji brand in Trinidad and Tobago is Ojar’s Bike Inn. The prize incentives for the Juniors “A” and “B” will be sponsored by central navigation and Kiss Enriched Bread respectively. Fuji Bikes are on sale at top bike shops.
