Central Sports, Couva tie in NCL

TILE IT Central Sports and Couva Sports played to an exciting tie in their Carib National Lea-gue Division I cricket match  at Presentation College, Chaguanas, yesterday. But the “Tile men” maintained their lead atop the standings after yesterday’s second round result. Set 72 to win in 11 overs, Central Sports closed on 71 for six wickets and the game was when balls ran out. 

They gained 20 points, while Couva Sports collected 11. West Indies fast bowler Mervyn Dillon continued his impressive form yesterday taking eight wickets for 28 runs to bowl out Alescon Comets for 97 in reply to Queen’s Park 203. Batting a second time the Parkites declared on 159 for seven, and the game petered out into a draw with Comets on 144 for four at the close,

At Diego Martin, Gregory Mahabir scored 151 to take FCB Clarke Road to 303 after they resumed on 226 for two against Merry-boys.
