Fete match mentality

The Editor: I hope Dr. Nigel Camacho and his Trini Posse are feeling good today. I blame them for the way they have turned the lovely and serious game of cricket into one of a fete match mentality with loud music, beating drums, drinking half-naked men and girls, waving flags. There is nothing undesirable about moving with one’s side and indeed supporting one’s side with flags and so on. But the behaviour of the various posses has degenerated and has become a distraction for the West Indies side who have shown that they have more in common  with fete than cricket.
