Miss Lover Lover has kept her form

MISS LOVER LOVER, winner of her last two starts, showed she has lost none of her form with a good gallop at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, as horses prepared for Saturday’s nine-race programme. The four-year-old American-bred filly was clocked in 37.25 seconds for a 600 metres spin, the best on Thursday morning last. Also having a handy run over the same trip was newcomer With Attitude, who was timed in 38.22 seconds, while another new import Miss Julie covered 400 metres in 25.17 seconds.

Another pleasing run came from Soul Asylum who went over 1000 metres in a comfortable 1:04.27 seconds. Stars of Wednesday’s gallops on a track made good by light rain were Blue Reign and Premier Attraction who got back in 25.04 seconds for a 400 metres gallop. Return To Sender stepped 800 metres in a pleasant 49.08 seconds while Xian completed a 1000 metres spin in a respectable 1:09.72 seconds. Meanwhile, leading three-year-old Pave The Way is among 18 horses for which second subscriptions have been paid for the 1350 metres Flamingo Stakes to be run off on Easter Monday, April 12. And another 25 including an un-named filly had subscriptions paid for the Ibis Stakes on the same day over the same trip. Third and final subscriptions for both races are due on March 29. Sugar Mike, the 2003 Horse of the Year, heads 12 horses for which second subscriptions were paid for the ARC Cup over 1800 metres. Final subs for this race are due on Monday.
