Thanks to all who contributed to Cedros elders
THE EDITOR: Please permit us space in your most widely read newspaper to once again extend thanks to our very generous sponsors on behalf of the members of the St Vincent De Paul Society of Fullerton Village, Cedros of which I am president, for the invaluable contributions they all made towards our luncheon for the elderly, recipients of public assistance, their children and our clients.
The elders and others can be assured that once there are people who are as kind and caring for the elderly as Mr Hubert Dolsingh of Prudential Management Services, Mr Tom Hill of Bechtel International of Point Fortin, Mr Emmanuel Lincoln Fraites of ER Fraites Caribbean Ltd, Mrs Mavis Quong Sing of Bonasse Village, Cedros and Mrs Satee Rambert of Fullerton Village, Cedros there will always be a yearly luncheon for the elderly. High praises must also be extended to those who prepared the tasty lunch — Mrs Doolin Seepersad, Mrs Chandra Chaitoo, Mrs Linda Roberts, Mrs Veronica King, Mrs Pulmanie Thomas, Miss Millicent Tom, Miss Apple Boomer, Mr Lionel Dookie, his wife and children and our own vice president Mr Mathew Thomas.
For the cultural items, profound thanks must be given to the professional calypsonians, our own Cedros born (Mighty Composer) Fred Mitchell and Lord Lester who journeyed from Port-of-Spain to entertain the elderly each year free of charge, and our own local artistes, such as Violet Bartholo-mew and Carmelita David who gave us an authentic performance of the Shango Dance. Special thanks must also go out to Mr Maraj for his number one PA system and our very kind and loving sister Paul who gave us permission to use the school for the occasion and last but not least, Newsday and its Editor for allowing us the privilege to thank all those who participated in this function making it the enjoyable success it turned out to be. Thanks again.
