Nick Bovell at Indiana splash

NICHOLAS BOVELL will head a three Piranha Aquatics swimmers group at the Indianapolis Grand Prix Counsilman Classic, Indiana, USA, starting today.  Other members of the team are top female swimmer Sharntelle McLean and Matthew Houllier.  The meet is schedule to end on Sunday. Bovell, brother of new world short-course 200 metres individual medley record holder George Bovell III,  has already qualified for the Olympic Games.

McLean recently swam a time which placed her among the top 12 in the world short-course 50 metres freestyle, but Houllier, Trinidad and Tobago’s top butterfly swimmer will be keen on cementing his place in the national team for the 200 metres butterfly in Athens, Greece. National Olympic swim coach Anil Roberts fresh off seeing Bovell III to his  world record swim was expected to meet the team in Indianapolis, to round off  preparations for  his swimmers for the Grand Prix, where they are expected to face strong opposition.
