St Vincent go to top of NFM Windwards cricket

St Vincent and the Grenadines have defeated Grenada by 50 runs in the second round of the matches in the National Flour Mills (NFM) Windward Islands Under-19 cricket series at Prisons Ground in Arouca. SVG recovered from being bowled out for 126 in their first innings to storm back and score an unlikely victory. Jovan Samuel grabbed six wickets for 38 runs to bowl out Grenada for just 116 runs. With a lead of ten runs on first innings, SVG made 154 in their second turn to set Grenada a winning target of 165 runs. Samuel then got to work again returning figures of four for 38 to end with a match haul of ten for 76. With the win SVG moved to the top of the standings with 15 points.

Dominica bounced back after a first round loss to defeat St Lucia by five wickets at Riversdale in St Joseph. St Lucia took first strike and scored 120 all out with Jean Paul taking four for 31. Dominica then fell two runs short of this total reaching 118 all out. Batting a second time St Lucia made 67 all out and Dominica reached their winning target of 70 for the loss of five wickets.
