Poor hospital treatment in Point
THE EDITOR: I am writing concerning an incident which occurred at the Point Fortin General Hospital, where one of my friends had gotten a rash that broke out on her skin and after a while turned into a sore which had made her quite uncomfortable. She had arrived there at approximately 11 am and she did not leave there until about 4 pm and she still did not even see a doctor. While she was there, there were about two nurses on post at that moment. Although she gave the clerk the necessary information not one of the nurses came to see what was the matter or if the situation could have been helped in some way.
Honestly I found it was quite ridiculous and on their behalf it was totally bad customer service. And in my opinion, I think the only way to get quick service at that hospital you must be kicking and screaming in pain. So after this I am hoping that someone in authority will at least try to do something about the situation or before someone dies. Either they hire some more competent staff or train some of those nurses to be able to deal with the people.
The training can come in the form of lectures, where different members of the hospitality industry or maybe the public sector can come in and give lectures on the topic. These speeches gives staff a wider view on the proper approaches necessary to deal with the patient, therefore making the public feel more comfortable knowing that they are at an institution where they would receive proper medical attention.
