Veterans win big in Lendore football
VETERANS showed Sporting Boys their experience in whipping them 3-1 as action in the Lendore Village Football League continued. The match was a personal triumph for Yasie Ramlogan who scored all three goals for the winners. Carlos Coombs got the Sporting Boys goal. But it was a Godfrey Jobe own-goal which earned Dodgers a 3-2 victory over Longdenville In Action in their fixture. Kevin Sampson fired in a double for the winning team, while Cliff Charles got both goals for Longdenville.
Tony’s XI and Jerningham shared eight goals in a high-scoring 4-4 draw, with Jamal Wiggins scoring twice and Dion Raphael and Timothy Primus one apiece for Tony’s. Steve Charles registered a hat-trick and Wally John the other goal for Jerningham. Marvin Maxwell’s solitary goal gave Extra Foods Strikers victory over Crown Trace in another match; and First Choice also won 1-0 over Ball Youths on Randy Harris’ goal.
But Young Juventus and 500 United drew 1-1, with Rodney Charles scoring for Juventus. Kwame Foster got the equaliser.
