Grim situation at Arima court

THE EDITOR: Permit me a space to appeal to the Chief Magistrate of Arima Court, Chief Magistrate Quintyne. Old wine in new wine cast. I choose these words to highlight the disappointment and disgust of the public, of some of the clerical staff at this institution. While magistrates, prisons, police and the public are pleased that they would have a more humane friendly building, the public is still faced with the disrespect by some of the staff at this court.

Staff continue to come late on mornings and after lunch, causing a backup, with the public having to come sometimes two and three days to deal with their business. For the taxpaying public, that is not good enough. Once I requested to speak to a supervisor, only to be told they had none. Only a clerk III. Now, now we all know that where there is no supervision there is total madness. I am appealing to the Chief Magistrate to look into the performances of her clerical staff.
