Poor public transport
THE EDITOR: I write to express my disappointment with the service offered to the people of Trinidad and Tobago by the Public Transport Service Corporation. PTSC buses are utilised for this pilgrimage and on every occasion something goes wrong with one or two of the buses. When we journey on these pilgrimages we are required to assemble by 6.45 am. Sir, do you know what that entails? Let me enlighten you a bit.
The participants have to be awake by 4 am to get to the place of assembly; so when the buses arrive late like 8 am and roll call is taken your back is paining as you have been on your feet for four hours. This late arrival of the buses is causing us pilgrims to leave the starting point too late. The recent pilgrimage was the worse. I arrived back home at 10.13 pm because of the non-functioning of one bus, but that is not all; a lady disembarked in Arouca on the priority in the dark and all were concerned for her safety especially in this day and age. Come on PTSC, do you want your business to be a success? Well put on your seat belt and buckle up.
