For daredevil drivers

THE EDITOR: Perhaps you would be good enough to publish this short advisory for the benefit of the daredevil drivers who persist in driving in a fast and furious manner on the roadways of this country. One of the primary claims made by auto manufacturers in this day and age is the fact that their cars are capable of accelerating from zero to sixty miles per hour in seven seconds or less.

What none of them tell their prospective buyers, however, is that the journey from here to eternity takes considerably less time in many cases and can be instantaneous. For those who make the journey while intoxicated or asleep at the wheel, the transition may not even be experienced. I wonder what became of the old adage “Better late than never”?
