Tobago lead Inter-Zone cricket series
TOBAGO are leading Group “A” in the Courts Inter-Zone 40-over cricket competition. The boys from the sister island defeated UWI and North-East last week to head the standings with four points. But the Tobago team will get their stiffest competition today when they face a North team at Shaw Park, Tobago. North missed out on collecting full points on Tuesday against North-East when rain intervened and washed out play. North won the toss and decided to bat and after 29 overs, had reached 112 for four with Ramesh Ramdeen not out on 40. Play was interrupted by rain at 12.50 pm, and the match was called off shortly after 2 pm.
Today’s fixtures:
Tobago vs North - Shaw Park
North-East vs UWI - Prisons Ground
BG Under-17 vs South-East, NCC, Balmain
South vs Central - Guaracara Park
