‘Crabs’ get connection with Italians L-Sporto

CRAB CONNECTION, defen-ding National Super League champions and  one of Trinidad and Tobago’s burgeoning soccer teams, have signed a sponsorship contract with international sportswear firm L-Sporto. Connection will sport the new strip at the NSL 2004 season opening on June 4 when they play Maraval Youth Academy at 8.30 pm at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, when they will be known as L-Sporto Connection FC.

Over recent weeks the club’s management have been putting their charges through a rigorous training routine at the Barataria Oval, to ensure the players are in the best physical shape and the San Juan-based outfit is brimming with confidence going into the new season keen on a successful title defence. L-Sporto are apparel suppliers to Ghana’s Olympic national football team, Uruguay’s 2002 World Cup team, the national soccer teams of Uganda, Zimbabwe, and Rwanda, Italian Third Division champs AC Theinne and China’s Second Division champions Ximan FC, are planning to add other Trinidad clubs to this list.
