North, UWI clash in Inter-Zone

NORTH will clash with UWI today in the final preliminary round match in the Courts Inter-Zone cricket competition at UWI Ground, St Augustine. North have three points — a win against Tobago and a no-result against North-East. UWI have lost both their matches and are out of contention for a place in the finals of the 40-over competition. A win for North will take the team to the finals to be played at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain, Couva on May 31. In the other match, South-East host South in Penal. South have won both their matches and are expected to win tomorrow to meet in the grand final. Play starts at 10.30 am.
