Women cricketers need $$

MEMBERS of the Trinbago Ex-National Women’s cricket team are calling on the public for financial assistance as they prepare for the All Sports Promotion West Indies Windball Cricket Championships. The event will be staged in Antigua from July 1 to 5. According to a news release, the total cost per player is $3,089, inclusive of airfare, accomodation at the Dove Cove Hotel, meals, ground transfer and registration. The women’s squad have been participants of the competition since 2000, with a semi-final defeat to eventual champs Barbados that year in Orlando, Florida being their best showing.
