Book thieves at TTPost
THE EDITOR: Please allow me space in your newspaper to comment on TTPost mail delivery in Trinidad and Tobago. I am a subscriber to Modern Bride Magazine, a United States publication. I paid for my first subscription in April 2003 and was to receive them from June 2003. When I had not received my subscription through the mail in June I thought the supplier had ripped me off. I received a renewal certificate in February 2004 informing me of the expiry date.
Then I realised the books were mailed and I was not receiving them. I went to the Curepe post office inquiring about my subscriptions but have not got any satisfaction from them. I travelled to TTPost headquarters at Piarco and made further inquiries, only to find out that customs officers search incoming mail before deliveries. Then I realised that eight months of subscriptions were stolen at TTPost hence the reason I was not receiving them. I want management to know that I should be compensated for all the books stolen. You are paid employees and I am self-employed. I am appealing to those involved to stop stealing my subscriptions as it has caused substantial losses to my business.
