Squash champs Petrotrin win opener

DEFENDING champs Petrotrin Stars gave a warning with a 5-0 shut out of Klub Squash as action in this year’s National Squash League got underway at various centres. John Holley whipped Omar De Four 9-1, 9-3, 9-2 to start the “Oilmen” off in Thursday night’s “A” Division encounter at Cascadia Hotel Courts, Cascade.  And Dirk Prudent, Peter Pirtheesingh, Raymond Patrick and Paul F de Verteuil all won their matches for the rout.

Queen’s Park teams scored a treble in “B” Division action, with Mix and Match drubbing Forest Reserve Drillers 5-0; QPCC.Com defeating Petro-Pres Ole Boys 4-1; and Young Guns edging Deep Stroke 3-2.
