Bravo stars with bat, ball for Kensington
CARLOS “Sexy” Baynes and Tracey Clarke won the respective men’s and women’s open divisions as the 2004 Guardian General Tobago Open Golf Championships ended at the Plantations Golf Resort, Lowlands yesterday. Baynes, who entered the final round of the rescheduled two-day contest on 71, shot a two-under-par 70 for an overall score of 141. Shane Costelloe, who also carded 70 yesterday, was second overall with 146 and Mitchum Jasper was third with 151. Clarke, a member of the national youth team who will compete in the regional contest in St Croix, US Virgin Islands in June, shot 76 yesterday for a tally of 155. Michelle Torry, who shared the lead with Clarke after Sunday’s round of 79, was second with 157.
