Felicity Invaders, Police bid for cricket promotion

Triple crown champions Felicity Invaders will begin their quest for a place in the Carib National League today when they oppose Police at Munroe Road, Cunupia. Invaders who have been playing impressive cricket this season won the Central Superleague title which qualified them to contest the play-offs. They also won both limited overs tournaments for Superleague clubs.  Police on the other hand finished seventh in Division Two and will be fighting tooth and nail to remain in the big league.

The other match today will pit Northern Superleague champions Defence Force against Cosmos who won the Southern Superleague title. They will clash at Gilbert Park in California. Both matches will begin at 10.30 am today, tomorrow and June 10. A minimum of 95 overs will be bowled per day. A first innings win by any team would take them through and if after three days there is still no result, the match will continue every holiday and weekend until a decision is arrived at.
