TRINIDAD AND Tobago claimed third place at the International Rugby Board (IRB) North America and West Indies Rugby Association (NAWIRA) Rugby World Cup Sevens qualifier in the Cayman Islands, after a narrow 14-12 win over Jamaica on Wednesday. But the United States earned a spot at the 2005 Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament in Hong Kong following a crushing 61-0 win over Bermuda in the final.

In related news, TT captain Adam Fredericks and team-mate Mark Hamilton remained in the Caymans to compete for a West Indies Sevens team at the Cayman Islands International 7s tournament today and tomorrow, while Dexter Snaggs, David Straker and Kelson Figaro will represent West Indies ‘A’.
