Ignore Panday, Mr President
THE EDITOR: I am extremely angry with President Richards. Doesn’t he have anything better to do than respond to the ravings of Basdeo Panday? First of all, Panday says that the President does not consult him and secondly, does not take his advice. This absurd contradiction should have given the President a clear indication that he should have stayed away from this confusion. Panday is a drowning man clutching at straws and as a result, he is going to try and involve everybody in his state of desperation. He now realises that he will never again form the government or be Prime Minister, and he is looking for all sorts of scapegoats, and the President should have known this.
With five former UNC Cabinet ministers now facing corruption charges, and with the possibility of more to come, does Panday really believe that the population of this country is crazy enough to put them back in office? Think about this President Richards, and simply do what the rest of us are now doing — ignore Panday and the UNC.
