Morvant man in court for murder

 MORVANT man yesterday appeared before Chief Magistrate Sherman Mc Nicolls on charges of murder and wounding with intent. Jahmal James of Egypt Village, Sawmill Avenue, Second Caledonia, Morvant, is charged with the murder of Ezra Martinez and wounding Kareem Hoyte with the intent to do grievious bodily harm. The offences allegedly occurred on April 14 at Garrick Street, Second Caledonia, Morvant. Martinez was shot twice in the abdomen and subsequently succumbed to the wounds. Hoyte was shot in the leg. James was charged by acting Insp Ancil Coa of the Morvant Police Station. He will re-appear before Mc Nicolls on Friday.
