Eastern Lions go for ‘lucky seven’ today

THE EASTERN Lions, Joe Public will have their eyes set on a seventh win of the season when they host Club Sando at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Tunapuna from 5 pm today as the National Super League continues. Joe Public have raced to the top of the standings with 19 points from seven matches, and will fancy their chances against the second-from-bottom Sando outfit. Second-placed WASA Clean and White will be looking to narrow the five-point gap with Joe Public when they welcome Biwater Stokelyvale to their home ground at St Joseph at 4 pm.


Third-placed L-Sporto Crab Connection will seek their third successive victory when they meet Superstar Rangers at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo at 4.30 pm. Also at 4 pm, Police will host fellow Southerners Moruga at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, another in-form team Harvard will square off against Medianet East San Juan United at the Mt Hope Junior Secondary School Ground and Caroni will oppose Carib at Brechin Castle, Couva. One match is scheduled to kick off at 3 pm, with the struggling Maraval Youth Academy facing Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix at the Trinity College Ground, Moka, Maraval.
