Connection come from behind to beat starworld 2-1

W CONNECTION came from a goal down to defeat Starworld Strikers 2-1 at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella on Thursday as the Under-20 Division of the T&T Pro League continued. After 25 minutes of play, Connection defender Mark Parks scored an own goal to put Starworld in front before Arnold Ferguson equalised, via the penalty spot, in the 79th. Connection poured on the pressure for the winning goal, and it came in the 84th minute through Andre Pacheco. CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh remained atop the standings despite a 3-3 draw against cellar-placed South West Drillers at the Palo Seco Recreation Ground.

Darren Alexis (19th) and Akile Edwards (45th penalty) put Drillers 2-0 up at the halftime interval before Jabloteh stormed back to take the lead, with three goals in the space of eight minutes. Jerol Forbes reduced the deficit in the 52nd before Adrian Cedeno got the equaliser in the 59th. Marcelle Francois put Jabloteh ahead a minute later but their defence became complacent, allowing Drillers to level the scores in stoppage time. Richard Roy got the winner as Defence Force edged Tobago United 1-0 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo while the North East Stars-Arima/Morvant Fire encounter was postponed as the Fire lads failed to turn up at the Sangre Grande Recreation Ground.
